Enjoy the fresh mountain air and wide open spaces of Perisher Valley when all becomes quiet, outside of ski season.

November/December is the best time to visit the Snowy Mountains. It's too early for the bothersome flies and we usually enjoy great conditions for outdoor activities.

Explore Kosciuszko National Park.  From hiking and biking, photography, wildflower walks, fly fishing, road cycling, snowshoeing, abseiling, climbing and kayaking, we can help you arrange an exhilarating Snowy Mountains holiday or Small Group Spring Adventure.

Valhalla Lodge is located in Perisher Valley in an elevated bush backed position with stunning panoramic views. During November/December there is some parking available at the lodge and more in the nearby car park (500m). National Park overnight/entrance fees apply and are payable directly to National Parks.

Note that it can snow at anytime of the year and weather in the mountains can change quickly.

There are six different wilderness areas within the park's boundaries including alpine and sub-alpine areas with plants that are not found anywhere else in the world. Native animals you could encounter include kangaroos, wallabies, wombats, echidnas, possums, antechinus and emus. Platypus are very shy but are present in the Thredbo River near the entrance to the park. Kosciuszko National Park is home to the endangered pygmy possum and corroboree frog and contains Australia's highest mountain, Mount Kosciuszko.

We serve mainly a modern Australian cuisine. For our international visitors, we can arrange an Aussie barbeque dinner or a special Australian themed dinner during your stay.
