From Sydney, it's an easy 5.5 hour drive to Perisher Valley or about 7 hours from Melbourne.
PARKING ON THE MOUNTAIN
Once the ski season finishes and the roads reopen we have limited spaces at the lodge, or there is ample parking in the Perisher car park. Note: Kosciuszko National Park fees will apply and are payable at the gate, in the Perisher Valley office or at Jindabyne office.
Fly to Canberra or Cooma. Then either:
National Parks entry/ overnight fees will be payable at the gate.
We are located on snow in quiet bush backed setting. We have beautiful snowgums out the back and sweeping views of Perisher Resort from the front of the lodge including all common guest areas.
If you love downhill skiing and snowboarding, you will love our location. We are set on the side of a hill, facing Perisher Ski Resort. This means three things:
If you love cross country, you will love our location. We're only a stone's throw from Perisher's Nordic Shelter and the marked cross country trails are right behind our lodge. You will see cross country skiers and snow-shoers hiking up past us just to start their day.
If you want to be central but stay out of the hustle and bustle, you will love our location. We are the last lodge on our road so this makes for a very private, quiet location. The thunder of the snowmakers is merely a distant hum when standing outside and it can barely be heard from inside. We are licensed and waiter serve drinks to guests to on site but if you are looking for a little more pub-like action, then we are only a few hundred metres from the Man from Snowy River bar.
If you want Perisher accommodation with stunning views, then you will love our location. All of the common areas have stunning views, overlooking Perisher Ski Resort, North Perisher and beyond. We enjoy the most amazing sunsets and the Front Valley fireworks can be viewed from the comfort of the lodge.
We think we have one of the best locations in Perisher. Here's why....

It's about a 10minute ride to Perisher on the Skitube. Tubes depart regularly during Peak season until 6pm and then generally on the hour. Please note that some time restrictions apply during peak season for guests traveling with luggage in peak hours. See the skitube timetable for details.
Your Skitube ticket includes your National Park entry fees. Please note that sktitube fares are not included in your accommodation tariff. Tickets can be purchased in a bundle with your lift passes.
Catching the Skitube is a breeze! There is a designated area to unload your car right outside the terminal near the overnight parking lot. Luggage trolleys are available for approximately $4 ($1 & $2 coins accepted) and you can wheel your luggage right onto the tube. At Perisher Terminal, your luggage will ride up in the luggage lift and come out right next to the Hans Oversnow Desk from where you will take your complimentary transfer to Valhalla.
